Reuters is also reporting today that Americans support the creation of a "Do Not Spam" list similar to the "Do Not Call" lists we've been fighting tooth and nail to get implemented lately. No kidding. The problem with spam is not lack of laws, though; it's the total apathy of law enforcement to prosecute spammers using the laws on the books and the "we're too big to be accountable" attitude of big ISPs like AT&T.

I guess the reason I thought Juniper was a clueful company has something to do with hanging out at technical conferences rather than wherever it is marketing droids gather... According to Reuters, they've decided that we need to "reinvent" the Internet as an "infranet". Whatever that means. I don't even know where to begin making fun of this story, the quotes make so little sense. Guess it didn't make sense to the market, either: "shares in Juniper fell 69 cents". Clueful engineers at Juniper, you have my sympathy.
